We are immensely proud to have awarded our first Community Grant to ‘My Mito Mission’ a cause incredibly close to the heart of a JSM employee. The Mito Mission funds research into various mitochondiral diseases to help find a cure.
Jason Baker (JSM Employee) said:
“We can’t thank JSM enough for their kind donation to our ‘Family Fun Day’ & Football event in memory of our boys Ronni (aged 10) and Freddi (aged 5 days), both lost to Mitochondrial Disease. Had they still been here with us, they would have loved what we put together. JSM’s kind donation funded the football kits, arm bands, raffle prizes, promotional flyers, mascots and even the footballs used on the day. The remainder is being donated to the charity directly.
The event, which took place on Saturday September 23rd, was to raise money for a charity called My Mito Mission which funds research into various mitochondrial diseases. We hope that one day a cure will be found so no family has to go through what we have. We are so proud to say that we had 400+ attendees and in the 11 weeks since we lost Ronni, we have raised over £11,000 and we can’t wait to continue to raise as much as possible.”
All JSM employees are invited to apply for funding that supports both communities and employees in line with JSM Group’s vision of being an employer of choice and to be the most trusted utility infrastructure services provider.
