27 years of building infrastructure that matters
From a specialist team in London in 1998, we’ve grown to 300+ people working across the UK, Europe & beyond. We’ve delivered complex power infrastructure, national data centre networks, and critical pipeline systems. That track record is why tier-1 clients trust us with their most complex projects.
Here’s how we grew from a small skilled team into a global utility infrastructure business.
1998
Founded as a subcontractor installing ducts and cable into the highway for Tier 1 contractors.
2009
Promoted to tier-1 contractor. Our reputation earned us the seat at the table.
2012
Opened Poplar depot. First step in building our own operational footprint.
2013
Opened our Head Office in Potters Bar. Investing in infrastructure to support growth.
2016
Pioneered no-dig innovations (NICE® and NITE). We changed how live networks are managed.
2019
Relocated to River Road, Barking. Closer to the work, stronger capability.
2020
Founder Mark Scanlon handed over to David Rough, Power MD.
2021
Rutland partners invested in JSM. Validation of what we’d built.
2022
Opened EUSR-accredited training centre. We’re investing in the next generation.
2023
25 years. Expanded into Ireland. Renamed to JSM Group Services Limited. Milestone years.
2024
TowerBrook Capital Partners joined. Established EU operations. Global momentum.
2025
Founder Stuart Wiltshire retired. Michael Booth appointed CEO. Now operating in Bahrain and Sweden. We’re genuinely global.
2026
Rebranded to JSM Group and introduced JSM Advisory to reflect services and scale of business in the UK, Europe and beyond.
